JOB DESCRIPTION: PERSONAL BANKER

Responsible for providing a variety of services including paying and receiving functions. Assists in opening new client accounts and account maintenance. Performs specific assigned projects and assists with a variety of duties as required, including promotion of bank products and services. Ensures that customers are promptly and professionally greeted and served.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Perform basic teller functions following established procedures in accordance with bank policies.
  • Accountable in representing the bank to our customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Opening of new accounts for commercial and consumer clients.
  • Identify products and servicing opportunities for new and existing customers.
  • Perform end of day balancing and verify cash totals according to teller procedures.
  • Requires a high level of interpersonal skills and ability to comprehend basic accounting principles.
  • Enter transactions into computer system and issue customer receipts.
  • Protect customer information and other sensitive data by maintaining confidentiality.
  • Actively participate in preventing fraudulent activity to mitigate losses.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum two years banking experience.
  • Basic computer skills including MS Office and ability to interact with clients using banking technology.
  • Friendly and personable with the ability to establish credibility and rapport and look for ways to benefit the customer’s banking relationship.
  • Understanding how to present features and benefits of products and services to customers with differing needs.
  • Professional, thorough and organized; able to follow standard operating policies and procedures.
