JOB DESCRIPTION: COMMERCIAL LENDER
The Commercial Lender’s primary responsibility is developing new commercial lending business and managing existing loan portfolios. This role will consist of building new business relationships, maintaining and expanding existing customer relationships while being actively involved in the community.

JOB DUTIES:
• Initiate and cultivate new loan relationships for the bank through active business development efforts.
• Provide service to clients and prospective clients seeking commercial loans, develop relationships with clients, and promote bank services.
• Analyze new prospect’s financial status, credit and property evaluations to determine the feasibility of the loan.
• Evaluate and structure credit terms in accordance with lending policies.
• Prepare, present, and recommend new loan requests to the appropriate loan committees for approval.
• Have knowledge of all types of collateral, methods or means used to secure commercial loans.
• Responsible for credit performance and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Remain active in the community and community organizations to enhance bank image and identity.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance or accounting or equivalent experience
• Strong interpersonal, sales, negotiating and problem-solving skills.
• Minimum of five years’ work experience in a commercial loan, underwriting, banking, sales or similar environment
• Detail oriented and excellent communication (oral and written) skills.
• Computer experience with intermediate skills in Microsoft Office and Outlook
